Summer Furniture
Summer Furniture Practical Designs For The Backyard By Carpenter, Thomas, 1959- Book - 1994

March 26, 2014.....This is a great little book for anyone who only occasionally likes to dabble in carpentry. (like me!) I only get the bug every 5 years or so, and I'm a little leery of power tools, as I don't use them too often, and everything in this book looks do-able to me, and it also gives lots of explanations on why things are put together the way they are (describes certain stresses on chairs vs. tables etc.) and also give ways that you could cut corners, as well as different methods you can use, depending on the tools you have (or don't have) available. I think I'm gonna make an adirondack chair this year....and if all goes well, and my sanding arm doesn't give out....maybe a nice table as well. (I like the idea of his trestle table, that comes apart for storage, how cool is that?) That is, if the snow ever melts around here!
