A bit of a guilty read, as I'm not a fan of the frequent references to Heather's "overweight" or "Size 12" and love of all things food, and reading this series feels like I'm endorsing that. What keeps me coming back is Cabot: she has a fantastic vernacular and for every cliche twist in plot she's got a couple great jabs at popular culture or a quirky view of a common situation which never fails to illicit a chortle. I hide the cover when reading this book in public, but I STILL read it wherever I am. There is an important Q&A at the end of this edition where Cabot explains her shtick about Heather's size. She wants to see more variety in lead female characters. Thank goodness.
