These designs of Celtic art are at once simple and complex. They mesmerize the eye with their swirls of scrollwork and twisting patterns of animals. At first, I thought, how easy and simple to make some of these designs as gifts. Each project comes with instructions on how to finish it. So in choosing a knot work design, I began my project. As the knot doubled over and over, I came to the conclusion that these seemingly simple designs were beginning to change before my eyes. Without careful counting, I would not have finished it! But what a joy to see these intricate swirls from the past stand stunningly on my dressing table. If you would like a challenging design in cross stitch, this is the book for you!
