Addy Learns a Lesson is the second book to the Addy series, which are apart of the American Girls Collection. The book picks up right where the first book left off and gives you just enough information so you are not lost if you have not read the first book yet. I highly recommend this book. This is a great book for young girls of any nationality, but especially for African American girls. This book teaches that hard work pays off and the true meaning of friendship. This book is an easy read and I could not put it down. I can’t wait the read the rest of the series.

“ ” We in the big city now,” said Mamma “and we can’t be trusting strangers.” ”
“ ” I suspect you’ve learned a lesson about friendship. But you can’t make things better by hiding in here. You need to think about what you stand for and act on it.” “
