Funny and poignant personal stories and reflections from former first daughters Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush.Born into a political dynasty, Jenna and Barbara Bush grew up in the public eye. As small children, they watched their grandfather become president; just twelve years later they stood by their father's side when he took the same oath. They spent their college years being trailed by the Secret Service and chased by the paparazzi, with every teenage mistake making national headlines. But the tabloids didn't tell the whole story of these two young women forging their own identities under extraordinary circumstances. In this book they take listeners on a revealing, thoughtful, and deeply personal tour behind the scenes of their lives, with never-before-told stories about their family, their adventures, their loves and losses, and the special sisterly bond that fulfills them.

Many of us have wondered at some point or another what it would be like to live in the White House. More specifically, what would it be to live in the White House as a child? Well, the Bush sisters have given us the answer. Not only do they details their experiences as grandchildren visiting their grandparents in the White House & children living with their parents in the White House, they tell us all about coming back as visitors & what their lives look like "post-White House". They give us the scoop on the famous Bush family members, & they paint a picture of their lesser-known Welch grandparents. They share with us their personal & political interests. Much of their lives have been detailed in this book.

Whether you approve of either of the Bush Presidents or not, you are likely to approve of this book. You may be interested to learn that the girls have their own thoughts, interests, & yes, even political views. Seeing these famous ladies as real, relatable people was a love breath of fresh-Texas air.

Age recommendation: 14 & up (No indecent content, rather I just don't think younger listeners would find their stories relatable.)

On a scale of 1-10 stars, I give it 9.
