Cougar Annie's GardenBook - 2003
For 70 years Cougar Annie lived in the rainforest of Vancouver Island. A pioneer settler, she cleared the land, operated a nursery, a store, and a post office. She transformed the forest into a garden and fended off the prowling cougars. Outliving four husbands, she bore eight children and remained in her garden until her death in her mid-nineties.
