I enjoyed reading this book with my toddler, and he immediately requested a reread. My husband didn't like it though (when he was reading it with the same toddler). I think it was the "and now we bake real cookies" part after Christopher literally gets a taste of his own medicine. Or maybe he thought it was silly that the parents would eat clearly clay cookies?

While I liked it, I'll agree that there are better Munsch books (Alligator Baby and Moose! to name two)

It is funny. It was HILARIOUS! It was very interesting. Christopher makes clay cookies and gave it to his mom and she ate it and she was brushing her teeth for five minutes. Then he gave a bigger cookie to his dad and he ate it. And he brushed his teeth for five minutes and then the mom and dad called the teacher. When Christopher gets to school the whole class makes a giant cookie and gives it to his mom and dad. - Stouffville Christian School Grades 3/4
