The newest collection of short stories by queer Canadian storyteller Ivan E. Coyote is by turns touching, heartbreaking, and heartening. Coyote's signature autobiographical voice deftly weaves simple and powerful tales of family and loss, of being 'other' in small communities, and of her life as a storyteller and teacher. There are more than a few gems in this book and it is great reading for anyone interested in modern Canadian stories

The influence of Ivan's amazing live storytelling comes through in this collection! Possibly my and my mother's favourite!

Ivan E. Coyote is a wicked storyteller - after Shelagh Rogers from the Next Chapter recommended it, I was will to give it a try. A short sweet book of glimpses into the storyteller's life, it is definitely worth a read.

The short stories are only 1 or 2 pages long, so good to do one in quick 3 minute read. Fantastically surprising. I am very motivated to go and see her storytell live.
