Eh. Usual Hollywood fare.

Absolutely love this film. More character depth and emotional depth from Eastwood than I've seen in any other movie. Connection to a painfully sad, historic event like the JFK assassination adds to rather than detracts from the intrigue and the sympathy one feels for Eastwood's character. John Malkovich is brilliant as the psychopathic stalker and Renee Rousseau is smart, charming, beautiful and believable as a female secret service agent. The numerous sparring matches on the telephone between Eastwood and Malkovich are extremely well written and well acted. Excellent supporting cast including John Mahoney, Gary Cole, Fred Thompson and Dylan McDermott.

"What I'm about to tell you is highly classified. If asked, I will deny it. Leery is what we used to call a Wet Boy." "What's a Wet Boy, Jack?" <grimis> "Leery's an assassin."
