I am glad this helped Tony; my only problem is where are the victims mentioned and why is the serial killer presented as a "person" and not a monster! I would like to see a book that is about the victims of each serial killer and the only place the serial killer is listed is as the person that took these victims' lives away!

For me, reading this book was like watching episode after episode of late night murder mystery episodes on television. While the content is sometimes horrifying, you just can't look away. Tony's story is pretty incredible from the accident to recovery to learning to interact in the world with a severely changed personality, but I did have a hard time stomaching some of the letters his serial killer correspondents sent him. Not a book for the faint of heart.

"After 15-year-old Tony Ciaglia recovered from a severe head injury, he exhibited odd behaviour and a tendency to develop obsessions, including a strong interest in serial killers. He began corresponding with several murderers who were in prison, and the killers seemed pleased to send him details about their crimes. Ciaglia began sharing some of these letters with victims' families, offering them closure after the deaths of loved ones, and later with police, who reopened some cold cases as a result. The book includes unedited descriptions of many of these crimes, so it's not for sensitive readers, but it offers fascinating insight into the criminals' minds as well as the investigations."
